DESIGNING UNIQUE AND AUTHENTIC VISUAL BRAND IDENTITY FOR BUSINESSES

Want To Make An Impact In Your Business?

7/6/2013

If you want to make an impact in your business first, find a right graphic designer, who is professional and understands your business goals and audience. Communication is the key and having effective visual portfolio. Things done in hurry are never done right. You should look for a designer, who is trustworthy and are quick to respond to your questions by email or phone. It is pointless finding a designer, who is good but takes time to respond to your request or doesn't take seriously in project deadlines. It can be aggravating and could lead to major disappointment with the project. Like anything else in life when you're trying to find a right plumber, builder, dentist so should be same standard for finding a right professional graphic designer. You wouldn't hire off the street plumber to fix your plumbing nor would you hire a builder to build your house just because they have the right tools. You would take a great deal of time to find the right builder. So for new business owners or those who are thinking of rebranding your business image, make sure you do your research first in hiring the right designer or you would be lead to a lot of disappointments and grey hairs!

Welcoming 2012 Part I

1/10/2012

Happy Belated New Year!!! I know I am 10 days late but it is better late than never.
So I admit, I havn’t been blogging
as much as I would want to, but I have
good reason for not doing so because of
work, work work... not that I am complaining, I love every minute of it. This year has been
a successful start of a  wonderful New Year in design field!!!

Few tips for designers who want to freelance or find
contract work, I highly recommend that you find work in and around your local
area and set up a good relations with a local printer. I feel it  is very important and necessary when you
are starting out. Like anything else in life, things take time. You don’t see a tree growing
over night. Nothing in this
world is handed to you in silver platter unless you are a celebrity’s child or
born into the Royal family. Like most of us, we haven’t fallen into any of the two
categories. So what do we do? Well,  based on my personal experience
will let you in on my tips and tricks  of how I happen to get steady
flow of clients and also being able to challenge my creativity in design.
Let me tell you right now that it didnt happen over night.

Most design bloggers do give you  great tips for how to go about finding freelancing work  but I do find
it very generic. This is from my own personal experience. You may take my advice
or leave as is. At the end, you are the one making the decision.

To be continued...

Wondering Which Site Will Host Your Wonderful Portfolio For Free That Also Shows Your Creative Side?

12/25/2011

Many designers don't know which site they should upload their work to? Should it be Weebly? Behance? Webs?  These sites are great and free to look into, but do they cater to the creative designer's work? I found a site that is better than all the three sites mentioned above especially if you are just starting out.. it is called Krop Creative Data Base. Not only can you upload your work for free but many creative employers also post jobs on this site as well. click on the  link below to view the demo, it's that easy.

If you haven't already, I highly encourage you to check this site out, dropbox.com.  If you have projects that requires a big file to send to your clients, then I would definitely look in to dropbox. Not only is it a great file sharing application, but it syncs to all the shared computers and devices from literally anywhere. Plus, by signing up you automatically get 2 gigs. You don't have to carry around USB sticks anymore. What are you waiting for! Go see for yourself.

Great Websites that offer Great Quality Silhouette Images and it is FREE!!!!

11/1/2011

It is absolutely great to come across sites that offer free stock images. Cost wise, silhouette is much cheaper than buying stock images and or vector based illustrations. If you used silhouette in a right way when designing, it can make your design look way cool and stand out. Here are some of the few sites that I have come across that might be helpful in using them in your designs and or presentations.
